All Cotton Rag and Baryta Paper Prints (including Dibond and Plexiglas) will be provided with a Certificate signed by the artist.

Our Prints are made and sold in 5 different types: Canvas, Cotton Rag Paper, Baryta Paper, Dibond and Plexiglas. For each type you can choose among different sizes and sometimes even different aspect ratios (based on the photo crop). Canvas, Dibond and Plexiglas are ready to hang and do not need to be framed, being already mounted on a hard support. Instead, Cotton Rag and Baryta Paper Prints need to be framed, so they are also sold with a white border, in order to facilitate the work of a framer.

All Cotton Rag and Baryta Paper Prints (including Dibond and Plexiglas) are made with highest-quality inks and paper and the latest Giclée Fine Art Print technology, by using 16-color Printers. This allows to keep the colors and the main features of a photograph unaltered.

As a first step to choosing a print, you should consider the style of your house, or the room, where you want to hang the frame you will choose. If your home furnishings are modern, you might want to opt for a Canvas Print, or mounted on Dibond or Plexiglas, that perfectly matches your modern-style house. Being printed on certified archival-grade high-quality Cotton Rag Paper, Dibond-mounted and Plexiglas-mounted Prints will add more value to your walls, than a Canvas Print. You could also choose a Cotton Rag or Baryta Paper Print to be framed according to the modern style of your house.

If your home furnishings are classic, you might opt for a ready-to-frame Cotton Rag or Baryta Paper Print, purchasing a frame that will match your style. This way you can also choose to purchase a print with no border, with a 2cm or a 5cm white border. Even for a classic-style house you might take our ready-to-hang print types (Canvas, Dibond and Plexiglas) into consideration and you will add a touch of elegance to your home, by choosing the subject that fits best.

PRINT TYPE description

READY-TO-HANG PRINTS

CANVAS

High-Quality Canvas, sold already mounted on a wooden frame. Canvas print borders are “mirrored” and wrap the parts of the image closest to the edge over the sides of the canvas, creating a continuum with it. Being already provided with the wooden frame, our Canvas Print does not need a frame and therefore it is already ready to hang. However, to those who would like to frame it, making it even more valuable, we suggest a frame with a transparent passepartout.

DIBOND

Dibond is a 2mm-thick aluminum support, onto which a 310g Cotton Rag Paper Print is mounted. The ultra-smooth surface allows a flawless Print mounting.

To hang the works of art to the wall, prints are provided with an aluminum structure (15-25mm), mounted on the back.

This allows to create a space between the wall and the image, giving the feeling of a photo hung in the air. The final result will be extremely elegant, suitable to high aesthetic-level rooms.

PLEXIGLAS

The Plexiglas Print sold by Eastern Glow consists of a 310g Cotton Rag Paper Print inserted between two 3mm-thick plexiglas layers. This system allows to create an ultra-glossy finishing that gives images a new depth. The almost wet effect achieved with this technique increases color saturation, contrast and clarity, highlighting even the most subtle details.

READY-TO-FRAME PRINTS

COTTON RAG PAPER

Our Cotton Rag Paper Prints are sold ready to frame (frame is not included). Therefore, they are available with no border, in the case of a clip frame, or a frame with a transparent passepartout; with a 2cm white border, which allows the frame to be mounted without passepartout, or with a passepartout that is directly applied by the framer (the 2cm border simply serves the purpose to avoid that the frame mounting could cut some parts of the photo);

or with a 5cm white border, that could serve as a passpartout.

The grammage of these Cotton Rag Paper Prints is 270g, whereas the one of the Cotton Rag Paper Prints mounted on Dibond and Plexiglas is 310g. Being a matte paper, it has the advantage to be visible from all the angles of view without creating unwanted reflections. Right for this reason we always highly recommend that our customers choose a glassless frame. However, the final choice will be up to the customer’s personal taste.

The Cotton Rag Paper we use is a certified archival-grade pure cotton Hahnemüle PhotoRag.

Ink-jet prints, made with pigment inks and 100% cotton paper, with no optical brighteners, are made to last over 100 years on average.

BARYTA PAPER

Like the Cotton Rag Paper Prints, Baryta Paper Prints are also sold ready to frame, with no border, with a 2cm or a 5cm white border. However, unlike the first ones, these are printed on a semi-glossy paper and not matte. This paper type, added to the Giclèe printing technique, is specifically suitable to black and white prints, because it increases the depth of blacks with very detailed shadows and highlights.

The Baryta Paper we use is a Hahnemüle Fine-art Baryta, Ilford Galerie Gold Fibre Silk.

The use of pigment inks on a strictly neutral pH 100% cotton paper, with no optical brighteners, guarantees an archival-grade quality.

COTTON RAG OR BARYTA PAPER?

Given that one is matte, whereas the other is semi-glossy, the choice between Cotton Rag and Baryta Paper should depend on the lighting of the room where the Print will be displayed. If the lighting is diffuse and hardly directable, we recommend a Cotton Rag Paper Print, because its natural opacity protects it from reflections. Conversely, the best way to highlight the depth of blacks would be a powerful, yet easily directable light, in order to limit unwanted reflections. In this case, Baryta Paper is definitely the most suitable option.
